SPS plugs
An SPS plug is the other half of an SPS socket: the part that bends into a socket on the other avatar. Plugs are sold as ready-made packages, and until now getting one onto your avatar meant opening Unity, dragging a prefab under the right bone, and reading the creator’s instructions to find out which one.
LAS recognizes a plug package on import, applies it the way it applies an accessory, and gives the plug its own row in the Transform panel so you can line it up with the handles you already use.
Plugs come from VRCFury. LAS never makes a plug of its own, it only places and adjusts one you bought.
Import it
Section titled “Import it”Drop the plug package into the Library the same way as any other purchase, archive and all. LAS looks inside for the plug part itself rather than reading the file name, so the item is filed as SPS plug and goes straight to your Wardrobe instead of waiting on a Review button.
One package often holds a plug for every base its creator supports, and some hold thirty. That is still one SPS plug item, and picking the version for your base happens when you wear it.
Wear it
Section titled “Wear it”Tap the item in the Wardrobe, the same as an outfit or an accessory.
What happens next depends on what the creator shipped:
- The package already says where it goes. Many plugs come wired to the hips by their creator. LAS keeps that wiring exactly as it is, along with the position the creator set.
- The package says nothing. Then LAS attaches the plug to your avatar’s Hips bone for you, keeping the position the creator built it at.
Either way the plug rides the hips, so it moves with your avatar the way anything else on a bone does. LAS never merges a plug into your avatar’s skeleton, so the mesh, the materials and the creator’s own menu all stay the item’s own.
Your avatar needs a humanoid rig with a Hips bone. Without one LAS says so and applies nothing.
Line it up
Section titled “Line it up”Open the Transform panel from the studio rail. The plug is its own row in the bone list, under the bone it rides, with the caption Plug. The row is named after the item the plug came with, so a Lollipop reads Wholesome Lollipop rather than the creator’s object name.
In the viewport the plug draws as an orange cylinder running from its base to its tip. That cylinder is the plug itself as the game sees it, not the mesh, so it is what you line up. Click it to select the plug, or click its row. When a socket sits in the same spot, the socket’s disc takes the click first, so use the row instead.
Then move and turn it the way you move anything else:
- Drag the handles in the viewport, or type into the Position and Rotation numbers under the list.
- Watch the cylinder. Its flat end is the base, and it should sit where the plug leaves the body. The capped end is the tip.
- Size shows a single field, All sides, with a Uniform chip beside it. A plug has to keep its shape, so the one number changes all three sides at once. Anything else stops the build.
The line under the plug’s name says what the game will actually use, for example It measures 0.121 m long and 0.048 m across, so you can check the size without guessing.
Every change applies as you go and saves itself, the row gets an Edited chip, and Reset to normal puts the plug back exactly where it came from.
The settings
Section titled “The settings”Scroll to SPS plug under the bone list.

| Length | How long the plug is. Measure from the mesh on lets the plug read its own size, and the line above shows what it found. Turn it off to type a length in metres. |
| Radius | Half the plug’s thickness, set the same way. The measured line above quotes the full width across, so it reads about double what you type here. |
| Skip own hips sockets | Only shows when the plug sits on your own hips. It keeps the plug from finding the sockets on the same avatar. |
Auto-rig and Allow hole overrun only apply while Deformation is on, so they are hidden when it is off.
On a plug that came with your avatar or an item, every changed setting gets an Edited chip next to its label with a reset arrow that puts that one setting back.
If the panel says No mesh found to measure, so the build will stop here, the plug cannot find the mesh it is supposed to bend. That is almost always a hidden or deleted mesh. Turn the mesh back on and the line goes away.
Take one off and bring it back
Section titled “Take one off and bring it back”Remove plug takes a plug off the avatar without touching the mesh it came with, which is what you want when a package brings a plug you did not ask for. The row stays in the list with a Removed chip and the note This plug is off the avatar. Bring back restores it exactly as it came.
Bring back restores it with everything it had, including the parts LAS never edits.
Plugs made for one base
Section titled “Plugs made for one base”Most plugs fit any avatar with a little transform work. Move the plug into place, turn it so it points out of the body, and set the size, and it is done.
Some creators go further and ship one version per base. When your base is on that list, use its version and the plug lands close to right on the first try. When it is not, pick the version for the closest base and expect to spend a minute on the numbers. Neither case needs anything LAS does not already give you.
Check it in game
Section titled “Check it in game”Try it builds the avatar the same way an upload does, so a plug and a socket meet exactly as they will in game. Put a socket on your avatar too, then enter test mode and see the plug bend into it. See Test it for the walk.
