Test it

Before your avatar goes anywhere, see it the way other players will. The Try it panel runs your avatar live, built exactly as it would be for VRChat, so physics, toggles, and expressions get checked before anyone else sees them.

Open Try it in the Studio rail and press Test avatar. LAS applies any pending ability changes, builds the avatar with the same machinery an upload uses, and brings the viewport to life. The first test after opening an avatar can take a minute while everything spins up, and the status line tells you what is happening at each moment.

When it is ready, the panel switches to live controls.

  • Physics. Move the camera around and watch hair, ears, tails, and skirts react. If a chain feels wrong, note which one, then adjust it in Physics after the test.
  • Gestures. Pick hand gestures like Fist, Peace, or Thumbs Up for either hand and watch the avatar’s hands and expressions follow, just as they would from your controllers in game.
  • Your menu. The panel shows your avatar’s VRChat menu, working exactly like the in-game version. Fire every toggle and slider, open every submenu, and confirm each ability does what you expect.

Editing is paused while a test runs, so press Exit test when you are done to get back to changing things. Adjust whatever you noted, then test again. Testing is quick after the first run, and there is no limit on how often you do it.

When everything moves and toggles the way you want, head to Go Live to upload.
